In Portland, Spring has rushed in like a Top Gun jet. An altruistic sun rewards us for a stingy Winter. Daffodils wave their yellow lion manes in mass numbers while tulips stretch eagerly from leafy collars. Squirrels jump gaily across treetops. Birds perform aerial dances of joy.
If you’re looking for a little inspiration to welcome jubilant Spring to your dining room, look no further. We’ve got a few design tips to make your table a Vibrant Table.
- Choose two complementary colors accented with white to brighten. We chose lime and turquoise, but coral and yellow or purple and raspberry work great together as well.
- Search your closet and pantry for unexpected items that incorporate your color scheme: teapots, coffee tins, jars, etc. Stuff them with blooms and scatter them around the table, hutch, and rest of the house. Can’t find anything in your preferred color? Spray paint!
- Let the flower shine with centerpieces of tightly bound, uniform blooms.
- Don’t forget your vegetables! Veggies, like asparagus, can make for an inexpensive centerpiece. Plus, you can always eat them later!
