This Portland caterer has been waiting for an event venue like The Foundry, located along the banks of the Willamette River. A circular promenade island, accessible only by footbridge, offers a picturesque spot for intimate wedding ceremonies or summer cocktail receptions. With docks only a feet away, we envision a water-vessel farewell for newlyweds. The Foundry’s main dining room is on the second floor and a uniquely geometric veranda provides access to fresh air and outdoor seating opportunities. Walls of windows allow for sweeping views even during rainy weather. There are also a bridal salon and groom’s room, and first dances will be the center-of-attention on the built-in dance floor. The bridal salon also doubles as a corporate meeting room.

WHAT TO KNOW
Plan for your caterer to supply grills, ovens, etc. Staging areas, particularly upstairs, are a little tight, so unless you have a small group, buffets are going to work better in The Foundry than plated dinners. Foodies might consider building an observation kitchen on the veranda. An elevator will assist with heavy lifting in small loads. Tables and chairs are included with rental. Plenty of on-site parking. The Foundry is equipped with a hi-fi PA system.
