SUSTAINABLE POLICIES Vibrant Table Catering & Events is committed to developing and following sustainable business practices to the utmost of our abilities. At this time, there are no national standards for ‘green’ credentials, and the catering industry poses some particularly unique challenges. We have been working with The City of Portland Office of Sustainable Development to assess our policies, and in March 2008 we received the RecycleWorks Award. Vibrant Table Catering & Events is considered a front-runner in the industry, and we are one of only a few professional catering companies that have received the award. We recognize that there are several stages in “going green”. We are proud of our achievements thus far and remain dedicated to implementing
and developing sustainable practices as we continue to grow.
CURRENT SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES: - consistently evaluating & improving procedures through an engaged Green Committee made up of management & employees
- recycling office & event waste
- reducing the production of waste
- donating leftover food
- purchasing recycled, non-toxic, & other environmentally-friendly products
- giving preference to local & sustainable agricultural food products
- composting organic debris from our Floral Department
- use of biofuels in vehicles when possible
