About UsFounded in 1996, Vibrant Table Catering & Events has the creative vision and service excellence to execute flawless signature events. We began as a single, humble tamale cart, serving our signature Mocajete sauce the farmer’s market. Our business outgrew its little cart, went on to the big city and now we are a full-service caterer and events planning company. Our services range from fine cuisine and innovative décor to floral artistry and event theme creation. We have exclusive status at five venues, and are on the preferred list of over a dozen other dynamic venues in and around the Portland Metro area. Our employees are the key to our success. Vibrant Table has a keen ability to tap and, keep, talented, dedicated staff. We are fortunate to boast a high number of fully trained full-time employees, making us industry leaders. We are committed to providing ongoing training and mentoring to all Vibrant Table employees. They, in turn, reward the company with high job satisfaction.
Here are some of the people who have helped us become who we are:Art Fortuna joined us in 2006 as our President. Art’s thirty years of management experience, in catering and fine dining, including management with one of the largest food service companies in the world, brings a sharp mind to the business and a sure, calm confidence amidst a whirlwind of creativity. Kurt Beadell, our Creative Director, is the person who orchestrates all the creative management of our events and cultivates the talent of our events professionals. Kurt, with degrees in textile arts and interior design, wields uncanny creative powers over all stages and aspects of event planning. J. Steven Brockman, our Executive Chef, joined us in 2007. Steve possesses 20 years of chef and executive level experience at some of the finest hotels, resorts and fine dining establishments in the country - and a collection of awards in recognition of his talents. Recipient of awards including Chef of the Year, Santa Fe International Food & Wine Society, Melhana Plantation’s Relais and Chateaux, Epicurean/Golden Bowl, and Mobil’s Four Star Award of Excellence, Chef Brockman has worked closely with such renowned chefs as Julia Child, Paul Bocuse and Jeremiah Tower. Page Winograd, our in-house floral artist, brings her “sexy eclectic” style to her designs, giving a hip edge to classic and contemporary. With over 18 years experience creating something new and intriguing out of basic materials, using both locally-grown specialty flowers and crazy over-the top imports from exotic locations, her arrangements speak to the soul of an event’s theme.
